MK:Smart celebrates World Water Day at The Quadrant, Network Rail

The Quadrant Network RailHR Wallingford visited Network Rail on Friday 21 March as part of their World Water Day event, spreading the word about a new project, MK:Smart. Network Rail’s large office space in Milton Keynes, known as The Quadrant, promotes a vibrant series of events to provide information to the 3,500 staff who work there.

World Water Day was set up by the United Nations as an international day to celebrate freshwater.  It is an annual event for raising the profile of the importance of sustainable management of freshwater resources.  Each year, World Water Day highlights a specific aspect of freshwater. In 2014, World Water Day was on “Water and Energy”.

MK:Smart is developing smarter ways of managing water, energy and transport in Milton Keynes, supporting its development as a smart city.
