Come along and share your ideas. We are looking for groups and individuals with an interest in shaping the future of energy in MK. Our Citizen Lab ideas workshop will draw out issues and solutions for how we can create successful collaborative energy initiatives for facing demand issues. Spaces are going fast, so book now to avoid disappointment.

MK:Smart Citizen Lab: Community Energy Workshop

Our focus will be on sustainable energy initiatives in Milton Keynes. This ideas workshop will introduce projects and initiatives which are currently running in the UK, and explore how we can create real life project ideas to help secure an economic future for Milton Keynes. MK:Smart Citizen Lab is part of the MK:Smart project.

Venue: KMi Podium: Knowledge Media Institute in the Berrill Building at The Open University, MK7 6AA

MK:Smart will look at data from various sources about local energy and water consumption, as well as transport activity in MK, and use this information to tackle key demand issues in Milton Keynes. Community engagement is an essential ingredient for creating a successful smart city. Who better to suggest solutions for improving Milton Keynes than the people who live here? That’s why MK:Smart has set up Citizen Lab, which will combine local community action with a space for social innovation, when it comes to findings solutions regarding water, energy, transport and education.

This workshop is just one in a series of events in MK that give you the chance to share your ideas on how to address local infrastructure issues.
