We attended this annual networking event on 17 October at the MK Conference Centre.  This was a chance for the project team from University Campus Milton Keynes to showcase MK:Smart to local businesses, charities and other organisations. We took part in the speed networking sessions which were a particularly good opportunity to introduce business leaders and entrepreneurs to the concept of the MK Data Hub and its potential business benefits.

One of the aims of the MK:Smart project is to encourage SMEs to take advantage of the vast amount of information that will be contained in the MK Data Hub.  This will enable them to improve their services, discover new products and grow and expand their businesses.

Dr Paul Sant, Associate Dean of UCMK said:

“UCMK is excited to grow and increase our partnerships with local businesses and communities. It’s fantastic to be at the forefront of innovation through our involvement with the MK:Smart project. Soon enough Big Data will be available for everyone not just multi-nationals.”
