Major UK conference will include key players leading the way in smart city activities such as driverless cars and Big Data.
The Open University are set to host this high profile event showcasing the forefront of city innovation on 5 March 2015. The speakers will include Steve Yianni, Chief Executive of the Transport Systems Catapult, who are behind the driverless pods, prototypes of which were unveiled this week. Other speakers from the domain of Future Cities will include Mark Prisk, Chair of Smart Cities for the All-Party Parliamentary Group and Peter Madden, Chief Executive of the Future Cities Catapult.
MK:Smart will be represented on three expert panels. Project Director, Professor Enrico Motta will be sharing his expertise in the area of Data and The Internet of Things, Professor John Miles from Cambridge University will advise on Transport and Intelligent Mobility, while lecturer in Environmental Sciences, Dr Lorraine Hudson will represent the project from the perspective of Citizens and Communities.
