Open University Chancellor discusses Smart Cities

IMG_8505Martha Lane Fox discusses the important role that academic institutions, such as the OU, have to play in Smart Cities.

In a recent video, the co-founder of highlighted the benefits of involving the university in the smart city agenda, providing access to “new technologies” and “new ways of looking at data”. Fox referred to the MK Future Cities Programme as a knowledge “cluster” and the video features MK:Smart as an example of a collaborative Smart City research project led by The Open University.
