Visit from Quanta Computer

IMG_2781 -cropA Taiwan-based tech manufacturer came to UCMK to find out about MK:Smart.

Dr Ted Chang, CTO for Quanta Computing, a major manufacturer of notebook computers and other electronic hardware, attended a showcase of MK:Smart and two SMEs engaged in the project, in a visit  arranged by UKTI.

The two SMEs on show were Briteyellow and Engyta. The former is developing a 3D indoor GPS service for large public buildings, while the latter provides a complimentary service through a connective screen which can be placed in malls to display time-limited voucher offers to users of smartphones and contactless payment cards.

Dr Chang showed his enthusiasm at the meeting and underlined his company’s continued interest in, and contribution towards, the deployment of cutting-edge Internet of Things technology.
