Around 30 Business people from SME’s and Start-Ups gathered at University Campus Milton Keynes (UCMK) for the second in the series of ‘Lean Start-ups in Smart Cities’ courses earlier this week.
Jyoti Banerjee, Partner at Fronesys and Gerd Kortuem, Professor of Computing at the Open University fronted the day’s proceedings. This included a morning session which focused on ‘Smart Cities and the data-led Business’ which was followed by an afternoon session on ‘Practical tools for the data-led software business. Also contributing was Alan Fletcher, Business Development Manager at the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi) at the Open University
Rajinder Sharma, the Commercial Manager for MK:Smart summarised the day by saying: “ It was fantastic to see so many SME’s and Start-Ups assembled here in Milton Keynes that were keen to learn about the creative, innovative and entrepreneurial opportunities emanating from our Innovation Space. Delegates came from all parts of the UK including Cambridge, Oxford, London and Manchester. This gives us great momentum to enhance our levels of Business Engagement in 2016”.
