We’re very proud to have won a Biztech BrightSparc Award for Best Academic & Business Research Project.
Organised by Biztech, the Business and Technology Forum for Milton Keynes and the SEMLEP region, the BrightSparc Awards are a yearly search for the best new ideas with great commercial prospects in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area.
Dr Mathieu d’Aquin, Senior Research Fellow at The Open University accepted the award on behalf of MK:Smart at MKEX Technology Exhibition yesterday. “to be recognised at this level in the local tech community is a real credit to the work of the entire project consortium” said d’Aquin.
The Best Academic & Business Research Project category, sponsored by University Campus Milton Keynes, spotlights the very best examples of research resolving commercial challenges.
“Theres a lot of really cool activity in MK right now,” said Fredi Nonyelu, chair of Biztech “It was a tough task for the judges to decide on the winners this year. Well done MK:Smart.”
